Affordable Homes Program

The MLKARC Affordable Homes Program is specifically designed to increase home ownership opportunities for low to moderate-income individuals and families in the MLK Avenue Community.  Since its inception, the MLKARC has invested over $8 million to construct 113 affordable housing units that have greatly impacted the lives of over 300 individuals of low to moderate-income families.

MLKARC is collaborating with the Mobile Historic Development Commission (MHDC) to preserve and restore many older homes in the community.  The MHDC has plans to acquire, rehabilitate, and sale or lease several homes in 2010.
